Neocities
Neocities, one of the best places of the modern web

Hello everyone! For the past couple of days I was moving my site from Neocities to my own VPS. Neocities is a great site, (in my opinion the best one if you want to have your own website but don't know much about or just don't wan't to deal with all the technical side of getting one up and ready) but now I think it's time to move on so I can expand this site and the stuff I can do with it.

Anyway, if you don't have a website make one right now! Neocities is still the best first step for it

Blogging is cool again

I wanted to make the whole blogging thing more effective (so far I been making the html of each post all by hand) and to do so I searched for tools that can help me to do. The first program I encounter was HUGO, a static site generator that despite beeing a really great piece of software seemed a little too overkill for what I wanted to do. After a couple more searches I stumbled with Bashbloga blog generation tool that consist of a single bash script. It was exactly what I was looking for: simple, to the point, and without any fluf. When I got it I just modify the config file a little so it match the look of my website and done! Blogging like a champ again

I hope this tools is usefull to other people too!

Olia Lialina / NET art

Olia Lialina's Summer, the most fragile GIF on the WWW

Today I encounter the works of Oliana Lialina, in particular her work from 2013 Summer: A gif file wich every frame is hosted by a diferent person. Watching it was something unique, it reminded me how many things can only live not just in a digital form inside a computer but only on the internet, trough the conectivity of all of us (it also made me think on how something like this would be just imposibile inside the sterile walls of Facebook, Google or any of the giants that lives inside today's internet)
Oliana also runs the Tumblr page One Terabyte of Kilobyte Age who post 1 snapshot every 20 minutes from the 1TB archive from Geocities (I hope one day I can find my own old Geocities page that was lost in time!)
I recomend everyone to check out her Website!
P.S.: Inspired by her work I also became an animated gif:

DEATH TO SPOTIFY, get good old mp3s

March 04, 2021 — Grafo Volaverunt

There is no point for Spotify or any of those streaming platforms. If you want to listen to my music you don't need that crap anymore, just go to MUSIC and download the mp3 files.

If you got them, first of all thank you! I hope you enjoyed it. Now those files are yours, do with them whatever you want.

First Blog entry! - Returning to the old ways

March 04, 2021 — Grafo Volaverunt

Tired of the limitations and demands of social networks, I decided to create my own website and thus have a space where I can show my music in the best possible way.

Welcome to my little corner of the web.
